This page explains what Sahara Riders stores about you and why.

What we store

• Your account: name, username, email, password (stored encrypted, we cannot read it), and if you add them, your country, a short bio and a profile photo.
• What you post: stories, photos, ratings, comments, questions, answers, likes and votes.
• Security: for 24 hours we keep a short record of actions from your connection (for example login attempts) to stop spam and password guessing.
• Operator requests: the business details tour operators send us on the Tours page.

What others can see

Your name, username, country, bio, profile photo and posts are public. Your email is never shown to other members.

Cookies

We use one cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Photos

Photos you upload are resized and saved again by our server, which removes hidden information such as the GPS position recorded by your phone.

Emails

We only email you when you ask for it, for example to reset your password. We never sell or share your email.

Your choices

You can edit your profile and delete your posts at any time. To get a copy of your data or close your account and remove your posts, write to contact@saharariders.com from the email of your account.
